Consider this your mental windshield wiper.

Hey there,
I'm reading this book titled Tools of Titans and the author referenced a quote from another author, Julia Cameron, describing her morning pages as "spiritual windshield wipers."
And I thought... YES.
Because isn't that exactly what journaling can feel like?
Your head gets crowded with thoughts, worries, ideas, things you should've said, things you definitely should not say 😂... and sometimes you just need somewhere to put it all.
Enter: the journal.
And here's my favorite part.
Your journal doesn't need anything from you.
Nobody else's feelings need to be considered.
You don't have to explain yourself.
You don't have to make your thoughts sound reasonable.
You don't even have to make sense.
For those few minutes, it can be completely about you.
And how often do we really get that?
So I'm officially giving you permission to be a little selfish.
Actually...
Be selfish as hell. Journal.
Get it out of your head and onto the page.
Then maybe you'll be able to see through that windshield again.
💬 And if the problem is that you sit down to journal and your brain suddenly goes, "Great! I have absolutely nothing to say," my 30 Prompts for Inner Calm can help get things moving.

Clearing my head. Protecting my peace. Being selfish as hell.
