Even nature takes breaks.

Hey there,
I recently saw a sign when passing by a bus stop...
“Everything in nature works by ebb and flow.”
And it was a reminder that nothing is always constantly working.
The ocean moves in tides.
The seasons shift.
The sun rises and sets.
Even plants know when to grow and when to rest.
Meanwhile, we’re out here acting like we’re supposed to operate like fully charged laptops with no overheating issues.
And friend… no.
Life has a rhythm.
There is a time to move.
A time to pause.
A time to reflect.
And then a time to go again.
That pause is not wasted time.
It’s where you check in.
Where you notice what’s working.
Where you realize what’s draining you.
Where you adjust before you burn yourself all the way out.
Because sometimes the most productive thing you can do is stop long enough to ask:
Is this still working for me?
That’s the whole rhythm:
Pause. Reflect. Go.
Not pause forever.
Not reflect until you overthink yourself into a nap.
And not go so hard you forget you are, in fact, a human being and not a productivity appliance.
Just a steady rhythm.
Pause so you can breathe.
Reflect so you can learn.
Go so you can move forward with intention.
💬 And if this rhythm is something you want to practice more intentionally, I created the Pause, Reflect, Go Journal for exactly that.
It’s designed to help you slow down, check in, and move forward with more clarity — without turning your wellness routine into another full-time job.
Later,
Kimberley
