Sometimes the journey is a return.

Hey there,

Who knew moving would turn into a conversation with my younger self?

As we've been unpacking one chapter of life and packing up another, I've been sorting through years of papers, old journals, greeting cards, photos, random notebooks... you know, all the things we promise ourselves we'll organize "one day."

Well... one day finally arrived.

And buried in those boxes were letters I'd written to myself.

Notes.

Dreams.

Thoughts from my twenties and thirties.

I sat there reading them and had the strangest feeling.

It was like meeting an old friend.

Only that friend was... me.

Then something unexpected happened.

I realized many of those thoughts still live inside me today.

The values I wrote about.

The dreams I had.

The way I wanted to show up in the world.

Somewhere along the way, life got busy.

Responsibilities piled up.

I made a few unexpected turns.

And for a moment, I almost became disappointed in myself.

I almost thought, How did I get so far away from this version of me?

But then another thought showed up.

A kinder one.

Maybe I wasn't lost.

Maybe I was simply finding my way back.

That's the beautiful thing about growth.

Sometimes we think growth always means becoming someone completely new.

But sometimes...

Growth looks like remembering who you've been all along.

It looks like dusting off dreams that never really left.

Revisiting wisdom you already knew.

Returning to the parts of yourself that quietly waited while life happened.

When I say you can come back to yourself...

I mean really come back.

And maybe the version of you that's waiting isn't someone you have to create.

Maybe it's someone you already know.

📝 A Note from My Journal

As I sorted through boxes during our move, I found old letters, journals, and notes I'd written years ago.

Reading them reminded me that some of my deepest values never left me.

Life simply got noisy.

For a moment I wanted to be hard on myself for drifting. Instead, I chose gratitude.

Because those words reminded me that I wasn't starting over.

I was coming home.
